BLVD's dance-infected rock sound is garnering a devoted fan base across the US and abroad. Fresh off a tour of Fiji and Australia, BLVD returned home to a sold out show at The Independent in San Francisco this past February. In late 2009, they wrapped up recording their 5th studio album, Return to Center, with critically-acclaimed producer Jeff Saltzman (The Killers, Fischerspooner, The Black Keys) which hits the streets this summer. BLVD will continue their touring blitz this summer after last summer's performances at Shambhala Music Festival in British Columbia, Earthdance, Summer Meltdown, Camp Bisco and the Do Lab's Coachella Festival installation. "Fast becoming late night royalty, BLVD turned in one of the day's finest performances and certainly one of the most high energy sets of the entire [Summer Meltdown] fest." Dennis Cook, Associate Editor of Jambase BLVD's style has brought admiration from coast to coast with a sound that is equally at home in live music venues or dance clubs. 2008's full-length Music for People album earned the band respect from critics, with tracks being licensed by Victoria's Secret, AOL, Fuel, MTV and CBS television. The trio's live show is a fusion of electronic soundscapes and live instrumentation, featuring drummer/producer Dylan McIntosh, electric guitarist Curtis Sloane, and bass/synth player Tripp Bains. Unpredictable live performances include rock instrumentals and live/electronic arrangements drawing on influences from multiple genres. Not lending itself to typical classification, BLVD's sound is a unique representation of our current musical landscape. ![]() Earthdance Laytonville, 2009 BLVD performs "All the Elements" |
